Inside the Cinnamon settings window you can find a module for all of your applet settings. Use the applet settings module to enable or disable desktop applets. The settings manager even contains an option to help users get new applets.

Alright, lets get down to bussiness and take a look at the new applets for the Cinnamon desktop.
Window Quick List Applet
The first, and probably most important new applet is for the Window Quick-List menu. This menu will display a list of open windows from all workspaces. Workspace names are displayed in the menu, as well as window titles, and window icons.
Notifications Applet
The notification applet will sit in the panel and inform you when you have missed important events on your system. This applet can be used to see what happened while you were away from your computer.
Sound Applet
A new sound applet is also available will lots of very convenient features. This applet is well integrated with the default music player, hopefully others as well. Use this applet to switch tracks, and adjust the system volume.
